MO was approached by CITV and award-winning children’s cookery book writer, Annabel Karmel, to help develop a website to accompany a new kids’ cookery show, Annabel’s Kitchen. The aim of the show is to encourage kids and parents to get in the kitchen and have some fun, whilst the site would act as a repository for recipes, games, character information and show clips.
The work
Our team of UX experts, designers, 3D animators, and Flash developers really delivered the goods: we created a highly-interactive, content-rich experience for kids and parents based on the idea of scenes from a pop-up book.
Each scene echoed the TV show’s studio set and housed a rich depository of fun content, including downloads, videos, 3D animations, games, theme tune player, illustrated cooking book, characters biographies, reward stickers – and much more.
The result
The client was delighted with the end result, citing it as a great extension of the show. The site proved highly popular with kids and parents alike, and even picked up some juicy awards along the way.
